Spray away the stress!

It happens every semester without fail. It's the first day back to university after a well deserved break, and I now have 3 weeks until I graduate! 3 weeks to complete all my final assignments, presentations and dissertation whilst trying to maintain a full time job, and spend time with my boyfriend, friends and family. PHEW!

As a self confessed emotional shopper, (and honestly, any emotion will suffice), I felt my feet drawing me to Debenhams department store to spend away the negative thoughts about rapidly looming deadlines. I must admit, there is nothing I love more than spending time at various beauty counters, chatting away to the sales advisors and testing anything and everything I can get my little mitts on! I am a sucker for a pretty product, the intoxicating smell of perfume radiating through the store is enough to make my heart SWELL for new lotions and potions to lather myself in.

Coming from a town with a poorly stocked Debenhams, I am like a child at Christmas when I'm back in the city for classes and get to blow all my money on products I can't get at home, although it does my bank balance little favours!

I have been addicted to anything and everything Vivienne Westwood since I was around 16 and simply had to invest in a new perfume, even though I'm normally a Miss Dior Cherie girl all year round! After plenty of sniffing and spraying I settled for "Cheeky Alice", as I loved the packaging and branding and at first glance the scent reminded me of Gucci Guilty, another former favourite.

I'm no perfume expert, but I loved the initial strong musky scents from Cheeky Alice, which then soften into lovely floral notes. It's a fabulous everyday perfume and for some unknown reason, reminds me of late nights on holidays in lovely hot climates, then again that's maybe just the dreamer in me! The bottle itself is adorable, and comes with the usual wearable charm round the neck of the bottle which is a lovely touch, although I am anal about my perfume bottles and like to leave them as they are, bracelet intact!

As much as I adore this perfume and will most definitely re-buy once I have used it, I would prefer this Alice to have spicier notes along with the florals, as I don't quite feel it is "Cheeky" enough for me. I would like it to be a bit more bold and daring, maybe even a tad vampish for the evenings, than the girly florals will allow.
Having said this, perfumes are obviously different for every wearer and this little number is worth a try the next time you happen to be swinging by the perfume counter :)

I would also like to note the adorable lady that served me today, who gave me a gorgeous VW makeup case even though I technically didn't qualify for it. You had to spend over £50 on Vivienne Westwood fragrances, which I didn't, but I had bought several other items to well over £100. I then ended up chatting to her for a good half hour and got a load of little perfume samples! HUZZAH! Not only is it the perfect size for  my fave nail varnishes, it is also LAVENDER! One of my absolute favourite colours this season! RESULT! It pays to chat to these girls I promise!

I hope to get posting about the various other goodies I snapped up today, but want to get a good bit of use out of them first, I'm very picky with my skin products :D

What do you dearies think of Cheeky Alice? Have you tried it, or do you prefer other perfumes from the Alice range? I'd love to hear from you!
